7-30-08	Sad to say Steven Hughes is done racing for the rest of the year.
7-25-08	Friday night Steven was back in action at Big Diamond Raceway win beautiful weather so he didnt have to worry about it raining out again. In his make up heat from sunday he started 7th and worked his way threw the field pretty good and ended up finishing in 4th spot making the feature event. In the feature event everything went bad Steven started 13th and within the first few laps Steven was in a accident and ended up flipping on the front stretch ending his night early. This made him end up with a 27th place finish.
7-20-08	Tonight Steven made his first appearence back at Big Diamond Raceway in about 10 weeks after being in a accident that caused him not to race. In the heat he started 7th and was having problems getting the car to run correctly. Then during his he a heavy rain and wind storm came and continued to pour down really hard forcing Big Diamond Raceway to cancel the show and will continue the show this friday July 25th with a full show afterward.

5-31-08	Today is Steven's 17th Birthday so dont forget to wish Steven a Happy Birthday.
5-30-08	Unfortunately Steven was unable to race tonight at Big Diamond Raceway.
5-16-08	Another wash out at Big Diamond Raceway so they had to cancel tonights event. Come back next week and maybe weather will be a lot nicer and we can get some racing in.
5-9-08	Tonight's action at Big Diamond Raceway has been cancelled. So come out next weekend for T102 Pack the House night at Big Diamond.
5-2-08	NEW pictures, results, and points are now posted check it out. Steven had some tough luck this week after getting in a accident in the very beginning of the sportsman feature event.
4-20-08	Just would like to inform all of the visitors to Steven's Site that there is now updated points and new pictures.
4-14-08	The points are now pointed but everyone has only 5 points because the sportsman did not have there feature yet not till April 18th.
4-12-08	Last night Steven qualified for the feature event but on lap 4 got into a wreck and it started to rain hard so they cancelled the rest of the night and will have the remaining laps of that feature on April 18th along with a regular show.
4-7-08	Steven would like all of you to check out 2 new photos on his photos section of the website from Big Diamond from his practice on March 29th
3-28-08	Come out to Big Diamond Raceway for the sportsman practice after the Modified 40 lapper $4,000 to win and see Steven Hughes practice for next week.
3-16-08	Yesterday Steven went and got the race car lettered and got it back today new photos on the photos page. Check it out.

2-17-08	You can now view the 2007 Final points standings for Steven and all the other driver that raced with him in the Sportsman Division @ Big Diamond Raceway.
2-7-08	Steven's Guestbook is up and running. So if you have any messages or would like to get ahold of Steven feel free to leave him a message.
1-5-08	Steven was awarded the Big Diamond Raceway 2007 Rookie of the Year in the Sportsman Division at the Big Diamond Raceway Awards Banquet.
8-24-07	Today was the final night for points and Steven ended up finishing 15th in the points standings with 935 points which was 10 points out of 14th spot. Also Steven's dad, Mike Hughes, former race car driver and now owner of Steven's car finished 14th in the owner points standings.
8-10-07	Unfortunately Steven could not race on this night and ended up not showing up for anymore of the 2007 racing season at Big Diamond Raceway.
7-27-07	This was a AWESOME night Steven picked up his first career win in the Sportsman Division at Big Diamond Raceway in his very first year of racing. He won this race at about 10:22pm on Friday. Also he set the Fastest Lap of the night 2 weeks in a row with a time of 18.117 seconds.
7-20-07	Steven came out with a 4th place finish in the feature event. He lead a lot of the race before ending up in 4th. Also Steven set the Fastest Lap of the Night with a time of 18.688 seconds.
4-22-07	Steven came back and made a second appearance and did make the feature event to make this his very first ever Sportsman feature of his racing career. He ended up finishing 9th in the feature.
4-13-07	This was the night that Steven made his first appearance at Big Diamond Raceway in the Sportsman Division but unfortunately did not make the feature event.
